It’s a packed MLB slate on Friday,  September 6, so let’s hop right into our best betting picks.

Chicago White Sox at Boston Red Sox

Boston has essentially crushed its American League wild-card hopes with a five-game losing streak in which it has scored a total of eight runs.

But that’s nothing a meeting with the White Sox can’t fix.

Yes, Chicago won its most recent game, but only after it dropped 12 in a row. After all, these are the White Sox we’re talking about here. You know, the ones with 109 losses and counting?

The pick: Red Sox spread -1.5, -135 (DraftKings)

Minnesota Twins at Kansas City Royals

Kansas City superstar Bobby Witt Jr. is in the midst of a power outage, at least by his standards.

Witt, who has 30 homers on the season, hasn’t cleared the wall in his past three games. It shouldn’t be long until that drought is over, though, as the AL MVP candidate gets to face Minnesota starter Zebby Matthews (1-2, 7.41 ERA) on Friday, a right-hander who has served up five long balls in 17 innings this year.

The pick: Bobby Witt Jr. to hit a home run, +550 (DraftKings)

New York Yankees at Chicago Cubs

Although he has posted a 1.80 ERA over his past three appearances (two starts), Chicago left-hander Jordan Wicks hasn’t been missing bats.

In his latest outing, Wicks got the start and lasted five innings against the Washington Nationals last Sunday, but he didn’t pick up a single strikeout. His two previous appearances came back in June, and he then landed on the injured list due to a right oblique strain.

Wicks had two strikeouts in each of those June outings. One was a start.
